Very hardy tall anemone with trilobed leaves, producing an abundant late summer bloom of large persistent flowers of an extremely pure white.
The Japanese anemone is an old garden hybrid introduced in France in the mid-nineteenth century by the botanist Victor Lemoine (1823 – 1911).
